Durango real estate is no different, the 2009 summer season has seen an increase in volume of real estate sold.  I just pulled comps for residential sales and listings for the greater Durango area (including rural and Bayfield, basically all of La Plata County). There are  1164 listings in Durango and 83 have sold in July and August (as of August 25th). These 83 sales have a median price of $300,000. In addition there are 84 properties marked as sale pending, these number show a nice increase over the first two quarters and I’ve notices as much with showing requests and offers written in our office as well.

Things are picking up, if you are thinking about buying don’t wait, start looking now.
