Durango’s foreclosures are up dramatically, but in total numbers very low, expecially when compared to the Front Range or other place in Colorado. In Durango one in about 1000 homes goes to auction, in the front range one in 300.

La Plata County saw a total of 21 homes sold at auction in the first quarter of 2009, up from 7 last year.
